Pinterest Button Added To HubSpot's Follow Me Module

pinterest logoHubSpot customers can now add a link to their Pinterest accounts to the popular HubSpot Follow Me feature, which allows website visitors an easy means to follow your company across a number of different social media accounts.

Given the recent surge in popularity we've seen in marketers using Pinterest, it's no surprise that this feature has been popping up recently in the HubSpot user forums and on ideas.hubspot.com. We're happy to now be able to offer this additional functionality to our customers, and it's integrated seamlessly into our existing Follow Me module, so there's no new trick to learn. Just add your account info and go.

To add a Pinterest account to your HubSpot Follow Me module, simply add your Pinterest account to your Social Media Accounts in Settings. Once your account has been added, you only need to check the box to add it to every Follow Me module across your website.

For complete details on how to use the HubSpot Follow Me module, including instructions on adding your Pinterest and other social media accounts to your HubSpot, read the tutorial on How To Set Up Your Social Media Tools.

I've read a number of articles addressing the copyright issues. It seems the Pinterest policy puts the pinner as responsible if there are any copyright violations, and Pinterest claims rights to any content posted.

This isn't a problem for original content that we don't mind others having access to. But by pinning third party content we are basically stating that we have the right to distribute that content, and are giving Pinterest the right to "sublicense, to use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, license, etc...".

There is a method for reporting Copyright infringement, so that the original copyright holder and have the content removed. But the terms of agreement
seem to assume that the pinner will get permission from the holder before
pinning. http://pinterest.com/about/copyright/

I am hesitant to use pinterest until these issues are clarified.

This is great!

I am still waiting on the Google+ follow button. I have been thinking that I need to manually add our own, especially since you do not offer a choice in size. It seems the buttons are a little large and could be half the size and take up less space so important content stays above the fold.

but hey, I'll take what I can get.

My bad, I was just looking at the above graphic and see the google+ icon. I must have missed the email notification on that one.

Still, is there any way to select the size we want on our sites?

And there was much rejoicing! Woohoo!

Thanks for this! I immediately connected my Pinterest account in the Settings > social media.
In the blog settings I don't see it in the list to add to the ways to share the blog post. Will it appear there soon?

This is definitely a beautiful thing of adding a Pinterest button to the HubSpot website. Does Pinterest now except full page content submissions, instead of just photos?

Not working for me.

When i click on "Add Accounts" under Settings->Social Media Accounts page, i get another window asking for this "Provide us with the URL of the page you would like added to Follow Me." But i am not able to add it.

What am i missing here?
