Hey, it's David Meerman Scott, and I'm looking forward to having you take my course how to write a book that transforms business and supercharges your personal brand. Writing a book can be such a fabulous journey. You can learn so much about yourself and about your business. But best yet, your book will be such a great asset for you, such a wonderful content asset for your business. If you work at a company to generate funding, if you're looking to start a business, if you're running your own thing, maybe you're an agency, or you want to become a public speaker, your book is going to be a perfect opportunity for that. The course is going to be three lessons. We're going to first talk about how to write your book, How to think of a topic and generate the content to get that book out there. We're going to talk about how to get a publisher, either a big, famous New York publisher, or what's called a hybrid publisher, which I'll explain, or maybe you can self publish your book. And then, importantly, we're going to talk about how to market your book. Super important job for the author to do, which is to market their book. So I have written a bunch of books. There's a couple of them over here, The New Rules of Marketing and PR is what I'm best known for. That book is now in the ninth edition. It's published in 29 languages, from Albanian to Vietnamese. I also published, most recently a book called fanocracy that came out from Penguin Random House became a Wall Street Journal best seller. My books have been transformational for me. I have generated now I'm up to 12 different books, and I've helped many, many, many people to write their books, including my buddies Brian Halligan and Dharmesh, the co founders of HubSpot. I helped them to put together their book inbound marketing, and I wrote the forward to it. There's no question that writing a book can change your life. That certainly happened to me. I've traveled all over the world giving presentations about my my content, I've been able to be so lucky to be able to speak in 47 different countries. So far, people love to hear the ideas that I've written about in my book. So you can see that this has absolutely been transformational for me. I'm a member of the HubSpot board of advisors, which I joined way back in 2007 the initial advisor. And there's no question as well, that for HubSpot to publish a book called inbound marketing when they were first getting going, about 15 years ago, was transformational as a way to generate attention for the business. The same thing is true for you. Writing a book can be transformational for your business, transformational for your for your personal brand, and I will lead you through the process. Let's get going.
