Program Structure

This 8-week applied learning program combines interactive training with experiential learning projects. The training sessions introduce students to skills in a hands-on learning environment with instructor feedback provided along the way.

After 4 weeks in the classroom students are paired with their client. Students and clients are expected to meet once a week for the duration of the 4 week project period. Over the course of 4 weeks students will complete a project start to finish using the skills learned during first 4 weeks of training.

Milestones and checkpoints are used along the way to standardize the program experience and ensure that students and clients collectively engage with the program at the same pace.

This program is fast-paced and self-driven. Students should expect to commit 8-10 hours per week, over the course of 8 weeks completing the program.

Training Sessions:
The first four weeks of the program will focus on training sessions. Training sessions will occur twice a week and are designed to be an interactive way to teach and prepare students for their client project.

Monday and Tuesday - 9:00 - 11:00 am PT

Each 2-hour training session will be hosted on Zoom and led by expert facilitators. The training curriculum will focus on 3 primary objectives:

  • Enable students to navigate HubSpot CRM effectively.
  • Equip students with the skills to build compelling marketing campaigns using AI tools within HubSpot.
  • Ensure students can complete client projects involving AI-enhanced marketing campaigns for assigned HubSpot customers.

Training sessions will be highly interactive and are designed to give students ample opportunities to practice skills in large and small groups. Students should expect to receive homework assignments after each session.

The last 4 weeks of the program is dedicated to working on a business project with a Hubspot client. During weeks 5 through 8 of the program, students will meet with their assigned client once a week.

The primary objective of the project is for students to use HubSpot’s AI tools to create a comprehensive marketing campaign for their assigned clients. The project will include the creation of various marketing assets, the implementation of workflows, and the generation of CRM reports. Students will work closely with their clients to understand their needs and design effective, AI-enhanced marketing assets. Students will educate their clients on the value of HubSpot's AI tools and demonstrate how these tools can be best utilized within the client's existing marketing strategies.

Clients will provide students with brand guidelines and other materials to support their work. Students will receive a project checklist to help guide their client meetings and ensure that projects stay on track.

Week 1 of the program will begin with an orientation where students will be introduced to the program, HubSpot, and the project they are training to complete.

During weeks 5-8, every Friday program instructors will host optional office hours where students can ask questions, debrief their client meetings, and learn from peers.

During the program, each student will have access to a Slack group/channel where they can ask questions and receive asynchronous support. This is also a great space to connect with other program participants.

All students need to attend all scheduled trainings and client meetings. This program is a boot camp-style experience that moves at a fast pace. Students are allowed one excused absence, however, students who miss a training session will be required to watch the training session recording and ensure that their client project remains on track.

Students will receive training from industry experts on how to use AI tools and HubSpot.  Students then gain valuable hands-on experience applying their skills with a HubSpot customer and are compensated for their work. Each student who successfully completes the program will receive a certificate they can add to their resume and share to their LinkedIn profile.

This program has the added benefit of tackling the issues of unpaid student labor, which exacerbates inequalities related to the representation of traditionally underrepresented groups in our workforce.  By offering short-term, paid opportunities to students eager to network and work hard - regardless of geography - this program serves as a solution to bridge the opportunity gap and enables any college student to gain valuable experience in working with HubSpot specifically.
