Overview

LinkedIn Ads are among the top digital advertising tools for B2B marketing. The HubSpot x LinkedIn Ambassador Program is a 6-week workforce development program designed to support aspiring marketing students and HubSpot customers.

Participants will attend live, online training sessions focused on learning how to effectively use LinkedIn Ads to generate leads and drive business growth. During training students will be matched with a HubSpot client to complete a paid, micro-internship project. Over the course of the program, students should expect to spend 8-10 hours per week completing training, attending project meetings, and completing homework assignments.

The program will run from October 14 - November 22, 2024. At the end of the program, students will receive an industry-recognized Certificate of Completion from HubSpot Academy, a program badge to support networking and professional development within the HubSpot ecosystem, and $450 for the successful completion of their client project.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, grow your network, and learn from industry experts. Program projects are designed to help customers learn how to leverage LinkedIn Ads to achieve their business goals while supporting career exploration and economic growth for students.

Program Structure

This 6-week applied learning program combines interactive training with experiential learning projects. The training sessions introduce students to skills in a hands-on learning environment with instructor feedback provided along the way.

Milestones and checkpoints are used to standardize the program experience and ensure that students and clients collectively engage with the program at the same pace. Students and clients are expected to meet once a week for the duration of the project period. (4 weeks)

This program is fast-paced and self-driven. Students should expect to commit 8-10 hours per week, over the course of 6 weeks completing the program. A typical week in the program will look like:

  • Training Session: 4 hours (hosted virtually on Zoom)
  • Client Meetings: 1 hour
  • Client Project Work: 3 hours
  • Office Hours: 1 hour (optional)
  • Homework Assignments: 1-2 hours

Training Sessions:
Monday and Tuesday - 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM ET.

Each 2-hour training session will be hosted on Zoom and led by expert facilitators. The training curriculum will focus on 3 primary objectives:

  • Provide students with the skills needed to successfully build, manage, and analyze LinkedIn Ad Campaigns.
  • Allow students to explore the capabilities of LinkedIn Ads and focus on gaining skills that will help, them strengthen digital marketing strategies for their customers.
  • Ensure students can complete their project of launching and analyzing a LinkedIn Ads campaign for their assigned HubSpot customers.

Training sessions will be highly interactive and are designed to give students ample opportunities to practice skills in large and small groups. Students should expect to receive homework assignments after each session.

Once per week, between Wednesday and Friday, students will spend 1 hour meeting with their HubSpot client on their project.

The primary objective of the project is for students to use HubSpot's marketing tools and the LinkedIn Campaign Manager to effectively drive traffic through a specified Call to Action.  The project will require students to create one or more LinkedIn Ad campaigns. Utilizing targeting and budgeting best practices, students will aim to drive performance for the company's ideal target audience. Students will educate their clients on the value of LinkedIn Ads and demonstrate how these tools can be best utilized within the client's existing marketing strategies.

Clients will provide students with brand guidelines and other materials to support their work. Students will receive a project checklist to help guide their client meetings and ensure that projects stay on track. Clients will receive a $1000 LinkedIn Ad credit that students will use to run their ad campaigns. Students will receive $450 for the successful completion of their project.

Week 1 of the program will begin with an orientation where students will be introduced to the program, HubSpot, and their HubSpot client.

During weeks 2-4, every Friday, program instructors will host optional office hours where students can ask questions, debrief their client meetings, and learn from peers.

During the program, each student will have access to a Slack group/channel where they can ask questions and receive asynchronous support. This is also a great space to connect with other program participants.

Students will receive training from industry experts on how to utilize LinkedIn Ads.  Students then gain valuable hands-on experience applying their skills with a HubSpot customer and are compensated for their work. Each student who successfully completes the program will receive a certificate they can add to their resume and share to their LinkedIn profile.

This program has the added benefit of tackling the issues of unpaid student labor, which exacerbates inequalities related to the representation of traditionally underrepresented groups in our workforce.  By offering short-term, paid opportunities to students eager to network and work hard - regardless of geography - this program serves as a solution to bridge the opportunity gap and enables any college student to gain valuable experience in working with HubSpot specifically.
