Overview

The HubSpot x WGU Marketing AI Micro-Internship Program is a workforce development program designed to support aspiring marketing professionals and eligible HubSpot customers. Students pursuing a degree in marketing from Western Governors University (WGU) will be selected to participate in 5-weeks of training focused on using HubSpot's AI tools to create professional marketing campaigns. As they complete training, they are matched with a HubSpot customer (like you!) to complete a short-term (20-hour), applied learning micro-internship project hosted by you.
 
Client projects give students an opportunity to teach customers how to leverage HubSpot's Content Hub Professional tier AI tools, including Brand Voice, Content Remix and AI Blog Generator, to design a library of resources and demonstrate the value that generative AI can bring to your marketing campaigns and business goals! All customers in the program will receive access to a 30-day free trial of these tools ($450 value) for students to complete their projects. After the program, you will have the opportunity to continue utilizing the resources your trained student kick-started on behalf of your business if you choose to add Content Hub Professional to your subscription. In doing so, you will also receive free, 30 day access to Lucky Orange marketing analytics software ($750 value).

Program Details & Structure

Each customer is matched with one trained student for a funded micro-internship project. An assigned representative from your company must be available to support your student over the course of the full 5-week project period. Customers should expect to dedicate one hour each week to meeting with their assigned student for the duration of the program.

Students will participate in training sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays. Clients are required to meet with their students at a mutually convenient time between Wednesday and Friday each week. This allows students to directly apply and demonstrate what they are learning in training to their client project. Clients and students will be provided with checkpoint lists and other resources to ensure that program milestones are being met.

To participate in this program, HubSpot customers (including Solutions Partners and Providers) must: 

  • Have an active HubSpot Marketing Hub Starter, Marketing Hub Professional, Marketing Hub Enterprise or Starter Suite bundle subscription and NOT be a subscriber of Content Hub Professional and Enterprise. (Other Hubs can be of any tier)
  • Be based in North America. (Students will be based in the US and working remotely from a US timezone.)
  • Be interested in exploring Content Hub Professional tier AI tools to support your business needs.
  • Be enthusiastic about working with and supporting a trained WGU student pursuing a career in marketing.
  • Be available to meet weekly with your assigned student for the duration of the 5- week program as well as attend an orientation webinar.
  • Be a new user of Lucky Orange (i.e. not an existing customer of Lucky Orange).
Before being matched with a student, HubSpot customers are expected to:
  • Select a representative from their business to be the primary point of contact for the student during the project period. 
  • Understand that the primary purpose of this program is for students to leverage their training with HubSpot during their micro-internship with you and use their newly acquired skills in Content Hub Professional to demonstrate how AI tools can be leveraged within a business's overall marketing strategy. 
  • Meet the client requirements outlined in the project description 

During the customer project period, HubSpot customers are expected to:

  • Be available during the full 5-week project period and hold one synchronous meeting a week with their student. Customers should expect to commit at least 5 hours over the course of the 5-week period. 
  • Avoid having students work outside of the project scope, making sure that they can focus primarily on completing the project with the tools they were trained on.

Before participating in the HubSpot x WGU AI Micro-Internship Program, students are expected to:

  • Have some prior experience with HubSpot through their Western Governors University courses or professional experience. 
  • Complete 5 weeks (16 hours) of live, online training led by HubSpot and AI industry experts. 
  • Have an interest in learning industry best practices on how to successfully leverage HubSpot's AI tools. 
  • Complete HubSpot's Marketing Software Certification. 

During the customer projects, students are expected to:

  • Complete 20 hours of work over 5 weeks to complete their client project.
  • Proactively communicate with their customer to provide project updates and ask for support.  
  • Utilize office hours hosted by HubSpot and AI instructors for project support.
  • Gain valuable work experience and be able to communicate the potential and value of HubSpot's AI tools to their clients.  

Project Description

AI-Assisted Marketing Campaigns for HubSpot Customers

Students will use HubSpot’s AI tools to create assets to support a comprehensive marketing campaign for their assigned client. The project will include the creation of various marketing assets that align with a conversion pathway that clients can use to launch their campaigns.

Note: Prior to participating, customers should already identify a content offer, product, or service to be the focus of the marketing campaign and should have some previously published content to support the student's development of assets. Customers who DO NOT meet these requirements are not a good fit for the program.

Yes! All costs including the student stipend for the successful completion of their project, and a Content Hub Professional trial during the duration of the program, are covered! All payroll and HR responsibilities are handled by our partner Parker Dewey.

After the program you will have the opportunity to upgrade your current HubSpot subscription to include Content Hub Professional to continue utilizing the resources your trained student kick-started on behalf of your business and to access 30 days of Lucky Orange software. A HubSpot representative will support you after the program.

All undergraduate and graduate students in this program are pursuing a degree in Marketing at Western Governors University and have been exposed to HubSpot through their coursework. Participating students complete 5-weeks (16 hours) of live, online training led by HubSpot and AI industry experts, and complete HubSpot's Marketing Software Certification. Students also have access to an additional office hour each week. Expert facilitators have built a scaffolded curriculum to give students the opportunity to offer expert skills to their clients each week. 

Students will receive training from HubSpot and AI industry experts. Students then gain valuable hands-on experience applying their skills with a HubSpot customer and are compensated for their work.

This program has the added benefit of tackling the issues of unpaid student labor, which exacerbate inequalities related to the representation of different racial groups and genders within our workforce. By offering short-term, paid opportunities to students eager to network and work hard - regardless of geography - this program serves as a solution to bridge the opportunity gap and enables any college student to gain valuable experience in working with HubSpot's AI tools.

*Lucky Orange Promotional Terms

1. Eligibility

  • The free trial offer of Lucky Orange is available to:
    • new Customers to Lucky Orange;
    • who register to participate in the Micro-Internship Program before September 25, 2024; and
    • add Content Hub Professional to their subscription before December 4, 2024
  • Existing customers of Lucky Orange are not eligible for this offer.
  • The offer is limited to one free trial per Customer.
  • HubSpot makes no guarantees as to Lucky Orange’s delivery of the trial, which is solely at the discretion of Lucky Orange.

2. Lucky Orange Free Trial Details

  • The free trial is for Lucky Orange and will last for 30 days.
  • The free trial includes access to all features of the Lucky Orange application.

3. Activation of Lucky Orange Free Trial

  • To activate the free trial of Lucky Orange, eligible Customers must register above to participate in the Micro-Internship Program and, once they add Content Hub Professional to their subscription after the program, follow the instructions provided in the confirmation email.
  • The confirmation email will include a link to activate the Lucky Orange free trial.  

4. Data Privacy

  • By participating in this promotion, Customers agree to share their contact information with Lucky Orange for the purposes of activating and managing the free trial.
  • Both HubSpot and Lucky Orange will handle Customer Data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL HUBSPOT OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU, THE CUSTOMER, IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PROMOTION. By participating in the promotion, you acknowledge and agree that HubSpot is not responsible for any issues or disputes arising from the use of Lucky Orange during the free trial period.
  • Any technical support or customer service related to Lucky Orange should be directed to Lucky Orange.
