Program Overview

Current WGU students who have successfully completed the standard HubSpot Marketing AI Micro-Internship Program (Fall 2024 or Spring 2025) are invited to participate in the Fall 2025 Advanced Program.

This 8-week applied learning program is designed to help students continue to build on their content marketing skills while supporting HubSpot customers with launching  AI-enhanced marketing campaigns.

The program will run from October 13 - December 5, 2025. Over the course of the program, students should expect to spend 5-7 hours per week completing training, attending project meetings, and completing homework assignments.

Program Benefits: At the end of the program, students will receive an industry-recognized Certificate of Completion from HubSpot Academy, a program badge to support networking and professional development within the HubSpot ecosystem, and $500 for the successful completion of their client project.

Program Structure

This 8-week applied learning program combines interactive training with experiential learning projects. The program is designed to build upon fundamental HubSpot knowledge and develop expertise in creating complete marketing funnels. Over two weeks, students will create a fully operational funnel - from blog content to campaign reporting - while implementing advanced HubSpot features and strategies.

This course is hands-on and project-based. You'll build a complete funnel that includes a blog post, content offer, landing page, form, thank you page, email nurture sequence, automation workflow, and campaign dashboard. Each component will be created in your client's HubSpot portal and integrated into a cohesive marketing campaign.

Key learning objectives include:

  • Design and implement a complete marketing funnel in HubSpot
  • Create strategic content offers that convert visitors into leads
  • Build high-converting landing pages with effective CTAs
  • Develop sophisticated email nurture sequences
  • Implement automation workflows based on user behavior
  • Track campaign performance through comprehensive dashboards
  • Apply best practices for conversion optimization
  • Utilize advanced HubSpot features across the Marketing Hub

This program is fast-paced and self-driven. Students should expect to commit 5-7 hours per week, over the course of 8 weeks, completing the program.

Training Sessions:
This program uses a combination of asynchronous and synchronous (live) training. Live training sessions will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00-5:00 PM MT during weeks 2 and 3 of the program.

The program includes 4 weeks of training. Each 2-hour training session will be hosted on Zoom and led by expert facilitators.

Training sessions will be highly interactive and are designed to give students ample opportunities to practice skills in large and small groups. Students should expect to receive homework assignments after each session.

Students will begin their client projects during Week 5 of the program. Students will spend 1 hour each week meeting with their HubSpot client on their project.

In this program, students will refresh and continue to build on these skills while also learning about AI automation, campaign optimization, and reporting.

Students will work closely with their clients to understand their needs and design effective, AI-enhanced marketing campaigns. Students will educate their clients on the value of HubSpot's AI tools and demonstrate how these tools can be best utilized within the client's existing marketing strategies.

Clients will provide students with brand guidelines and other materials to support their work. Students will receive a project checklist to help guide their client meetings and ensure that projects stay on track.

Week 1 of the program will begin with an orientation where students will be introduced to the program and HubSpot.

During weeks 2-8, every Friday, program instructors will host optional office hours where students can ask questions, debrief their client meetings, and learn from peers. While office hours are optional we do encourage you to block this time as it can be very helpful when completing your project!

During the program, each student will have access to a Slack group/channel where they can ask questions and receive asynchronous support. This is also a great space to connect with other program participants.

This program has the added benefit of tackling the issues of unpaid student labor, which exacerbates inequalities related to the representation of traditionally underrepresented groups in our workforce.  By offering short-term, paid opportunities to students eager to network and work hard - regardless of geography - this program serves as a solution to bridge the opportunity gap and enables any college student to gain valuable experience in working with HubSpot specifically.

MBA Healthcare Management and MBA Information Technology Management students are not eligible at this time.
