Learn Wordpress for Websites Using Elementor

Hi, I'm Simon an educator at Elementor, a user friendly drag and drop page builder plugin for WordPress. We make it easy for people to build stunning websites without using a single line of code. In this course, I'm going to teach you how to build a WordPress site for your business. 

Now, this is not going to be one of those courses where I boringly and very technically go over the continuous steps and you copy what I do like a parrot. In my honest opinion, this does not work and it might get you to duplicate what I'm doing, but you're just going to forget the minute you finish the course. Instead, you'll be learning the logic and process that's involved in addition to the technical details of building a WordPress website. This way you'll be able to practice and build other types of sites when you finish the course whether it be building a blog, a small business site, or even an e-commerce site.

To follow along with this course, you'll need an installation of WordPress. Either on your local computer or on a server on the web. But don't worry about this now, you'll learn all the steps in a later lesson. So, what is WordPress? WordPress is the simplest most popular way to create you own website or blog. WordPress has been around since 2003. It started as a blogging system and over the years it has evolved and improved to become the most prominent CMS, or content management system on the planet. In fact WordPress powers 34% of the internet, that's one in every three sites. And given all these facts there are a lot of related educational resources. However, our team and Elementor has managed to simplify and improve the entire process of creating a website including the design, marketing, and development aspects. Here is the site that we'll be creating from the ground up and I'll show you in detail how you can build a site just like this or something similar of your own creation.

This course is split up into three lessons. In lesson one, we'll review the basics of setting up a WordPress website. In lesson two, we'll review the different elements of building the foundation of your site, including the logo, menu, and the header and footer. And finally in lesson three once you understand the basics of getting started with WordPress we'll review how to use Elementor and HubSpot's free tools to help you quickly and efficiently create a beautiful and fully functional website that collects leads to grow your business.
