When not exploring with their husband and aussiedoodle, they're typically trying to keep their houseplants alive (and probably failing) and listening to a podcast about ghosts and ghouls. Sour candy connoisseur and wannabe mead-maker.

Anni Kim
Anni Kim is a former Inbound Professor for HubSpot Academy. She focused on educating the world about automation and integrations. When she's not filming in the studio, she's probably traveling the world in some top-notch sneakers and sampling all the local cuisine.

Kyle teaches sales and CRM courses at HubSpot Academy. He is best known for his work on the HubSpot Sales Software Certification and the Sales Enablement Certification. He is the father of three children, the lucky husband of an equally lucky woman, and aspires to be the author of one of those paperback novels you see in grocery store check-out lines.

Business Analytics Course: Introduction Video [Transcript]
There's an old business adage that says "You can't manage what you can't measure." In other words, it's impossible to know what's working and what's not. If there are no defined metrics to judge success while the big catch-all approach to marketing used to work for some businesses, it doesn't anymore. As consumers demand more personalized experiences, there's even more of a push for data-driven decision making in business.
According to a 2013 study by Yon Rain. Now Akamai, 74% of online consumers admitted they get frustrated with websites. When content appears, that has nothing to do with their interests, and that was nearly a decade ago. To compete in this new marketplace, businesses need to focus on generating, analyzing, and applying data. That's where business analytics comes in. Business analytics refers to the skills, technologies, and practices for continuous iterative exploration and investigation of past business performance to gain insight and drive business planning. But I'll let you in on a little secret. To get good at Business Analytics, you need to get data literate, and that's where this course comes in.
In these lessons, you'll learn how to effectively collect, manage, visualized, and apply your business data along the way, you'll learn why you need to always start with your business goals and how the flywheel model cannot only help you power an inbound business. But remove team and data silos at your organization along the way. After you complete this course, you will have the option to learn how to apply these strategies in the hum spot in the HubSpot reporting certification. After completing those additional lessons, as well as the exam and practicum, you'll walk away with a certification credential that demonstrates your knowledge of your network. Let's dive in.
