Course transcript

Linkedin is the world's largest professional network with over 740 million users in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide. The platform enables you to connect and share content with other professionals, including colleagues, business partners, new employees, potential employers, customers, and competitors. LinkedIn has continued to steadily grow its user base by adding new features like LinkedIn stories. Although the LinkedIn audience still skews towards career-minded professionals, the industry's interests and demographics represented on the platform have become much broader since its launch.

Aside from LinkedIn’s user growth, LinkedIn also continued to expand on advertising opportunities, which has helped to make it one of the most important channels for B2B marketing and B2C. Marketers are finding the platform has great organic and paid reach potential too. But despite LinkedIn’s growth and advertising opportunities, many marketers and brands are still worried that the platform is too formal or corporate for their audiences.

The truth is LinkedIn could very well be one of your most underrated marketing channels. In a study of over 5000 businesses, HubSpot found that traffic from LinkedIn generated the highest visitor to lead conversion rate at 2.7%, almost three times, or 277% higher than both Twitter and Facebook.

In this course, you'll learn how to optimize your linked in business profile, develop an effective content strategy, build an engaged community of followers, take advantage of LinkedIn features such as showcase pages, articles, and groups, and develop and execute a successful LinkedIn ads strategy. You'll also hear tips from a variety of companies and LinkedIn experts. In short, you'll learn how to reach the right members at the right time with the right content.
