Find Your Way Around HubSpot
Hi there. I'm Simona with ThinkFuel.
Welcome to your first steps in HubSpot.
In this chapter, we'll learn how to get oriented in HubSpot, including how to log in, and how to find the tools that matter most to your role.
If you're just getting started, you likely received a welcome email from HubSpot.
Clicking the link in that email takes you to the login page where you will create your password and access your company's HubSpot account.
If you did not receive that email, no problem.
You can go to app.hubspot.com and sign in with your work email.
After logging in, you'll land on the user guide.
This screen is designed to help you get started.
It recommends tasks like setting up contacts, exploring tools, and learning the basics.
Once you've made progress, you'll start seeing more of your dashboard, which shows what's happening in your account. Remember,
your view may look different depending on your role and permissions, but the left-hand navigation is always there to guide you.
On the left side of the screen, you'll see HubSpot's main navigation. It's organized into functional areas called hubs, like CRM, marketing, sales, or service.
For example, CRM is where your contact and company records live.
Marketing includes tools like forms, emails, and lead scoring.
Sales includes sales workspace, meeting tools, or sequences.
And service gives you access to surveys and knowledge base.
To help you find things quickly, use the search bar at the top of your screen.
You can search for contacts, records, tools, anything in your portal.
And over to the top right, you'll find a gear icon for your settings, where you can update your preferences, and a profile menu, where you can switch between HubSpot accounts if your company has more than one.
The tools you see in HubSpot depend on both your user permissions and your company's subscription level.
If you see a message that says your role doesn't have access,
your HubSpot admin can review and update your permissions.
But some tools still might be restricted depending on the subscription tier.
If you ever need help while working in HubSpot,
click the help icon in the top right corner.
It looks like a question mark.
From here, you can open the support assistant for guided answers, start a chat, or send a message through email support.
You've now logged into HubSpot, explored the user guide,
learned how the global navigation menu works, and understood why certain tools may or may not be available to you.
In the next chapter, we'll explore how to see exactly what tools you have. See you there.
